The basic monetary unit of Czechoslovakia, introduced as the Czech crown after the 1914–18 war (abbrev. Kč), and replaced and revalued after the 1939–45 war as the crown of the Czech and Slovak State (abbrev. Kčs); 1 Kčs = 100 hellers (haléř, pl. haléře). Also, a coin corresponding to this unit. Also attrib.
The forms KC and KCS (for Czech Kč and Kčs) in quot. 1947 are erroneous.
