[mod.L., ad. Gr. ψευδολογία falsehood + Gr. fem. ϕανταστική or med.Lat. fem. phantastica imaginary.]
A condition, often associated with other abnormal traits, in which a person fabricates stories about himself in order to inflate his importance but readily changes or abandons them when challenged. Also ellipt. as pseudologia.
