Meckel's diverticulum, n. Anat. and Path.|ˈmɛkəlz daɪvəˈtɪkjʊləm|
[f. the name of the younger J. F. Meckel (see Meckelian a.).]
a. A sacciform remnant of the vitello-intestinal duct found in some individuals, situated in the ileum about one metre from the iliocaecal valve.
b. Any of several pathological conditions associated with this.
