A. adj. Belonging to the work of a harmonist (sense 2); relating to the collation and harmonizing of parallel passages.
1860Ellicott Life Our Lord i. 19 note, Modern writers on harmonistic study. 1881Westcott & Hort Grk. N.T. II. 124 Its most dangerous work is ‘harmonistic’ corruption, that is, the partial or total obliteration of differences in passages otherwise more or less resembling each other.
