promittor Astrol.|prəʊˈmɪtə(r)| Also 7 -er. [f. promit v. + -or. Cf. promissor.] A planet which ‘promises’ or prognosticates that some event will take place on its arriving at some particular aspect with another planet, star, or point of the heaven (the significator); also applied to such an aspect.
