Of or pertaining to (Justinus) Febronius; a pseudonym under which J. N. von Hontheim of Treves wrote in the 18th century, maintaining the independence of national churches. Also n., a follower of Febronius.
Hence Feˈbronianism, the doctrine thus maintained.
