‖ coniomycetes, n. pl. Bot.|ˌkɒnɪəʊmaɪˈsiːtiːz| [mod.L., f. Gr. κονία, κόνι-ς, dust + µύκης (pl. µύκητες) mushroom; introd. by Nees von Esenbeck, 1817.] A group of fungi, so named from their dusty spores.
