†1. A pie containing raisins and currants; esp. a mince-pie. Obs.
a1660[Mock sermon] Brewerton Ch. cxix. Ver. xxxi, ‘And they did eat their Plum-pies, and rejoiced exceedingly’, (Bodl. Lib.) p. 6, Here now we are to consider what sort of Plum-pye this was, and how many sorts of plum pyes there are... There is your Christmas pye and that hath plums in abundance, that is your Metropolitan plum pye, tis the cream of all plum pyes, and in brief there is no plum pye like it...
