† obcæcate, a. Obs. Also 6 obse-, 6–7 obce-. [ad. L. obcæcāt-us, pa. pple. of obcæcāre or occæcāre to blind, f. ob- (ob- 1 b) + cæcāre to blind, cæcus blind. See also occæcate v.] Blinded; blind; destitute of mental or spiritual vision. So † obcæcated (-cec-) a., in same sense; † obcæcation (-cec-), blinded condition; mental or spiritual blindness.
