1600Holland Livy xxxvii. xxxi. 963 When he had rewarded the Rhodian ships with part of the pillage,..he gaue them the renvoie, and sent them home. c1645Howell Lett. v. iii. (1655) I. 199 This rupture 'twixt us and France upon the sudden renvoy of her Majesties servants. 1654H. L'Estrange Chas.
