Afro-Cariˈbbean, a. and n. (Formerly at Afro- in Dict.)
[c gray][f. Afro- + Caribbean a. and n.][/c] A. adj. Of or pertaining to both Africa and the Caribbean; used to designate the culture, way of life, etc., or (esp.) the characteristic style of music of those people of Black African descent who are, or whose immediate forebears were, inhabitants of the Caribbean (esp. the West Indies).
