intr. To look on at cards, or some other activity, esp. in an interfering manner (e.g. by standing close to the shoulders of the players); to offer gratuitous advice to a player; to act as a kibitzer. Also trans., to watch (a game, person, etc.), esp. in an officious or meddling way. Hence ˈkibitzing vbl. n. and ppl. a.
