A proprietary name for: a small piece of notepaper (often yellow) with a lightly adhesive strip along one edge of the reverse side, enabling it to be stuck to a surface as a marker or for messages, comments, or reminders, and to be easily removed when necessary; (hence more widely) any note of this type; cf. sticky n.
