1. Full of, or charged with, sulphur; sulphurous.

2. Of wine (see quot.).
1728Chambers Cycl. s.v. Wine, Sulphur'd Wine, is that put in Casks wherein Sulphur has been burnt; in order to fit it for keeping, or for Carriage by Sea.
3. Bleached by exposure to the fumes of sulphur.
