viscid, a.|ˈvɪsɪd|
[ad. late L. viscid-us, f. L. viscum birdlime (see viscous a.). Hence also OF. viscide, It. viscido.]
1. Of fluid or soft substances: Having a glutinous or gluey character; sticky, adhesive, ropy. (Cf. viscous a. 1.)
