[Named after C. S. Rubarth (b. 1905), Swedish veterinary scientist, who described it in 1947 (Acta Path. & Microbiol. Scand. Suppl. No. 69).]
An infectious disease of dogs, caused by an adenovirus, that affects chiefly the liver and is sometimes fatal; infectious canine hepatitis.
