(Dubna, U.S.S.R) Preprint D6–3281 (title) Experiments on chemistry of element 104—kurchatovium. 1968New Scientist 11 Jan. 85/1 Scientist working..at Dubna..were last year awarded the Lenin Prize for their work on the synthesis of transuranium elements, in particular element 104. This latter element was named Kurchatovium by the Russians. 1970Soviet Radiochem. XII. 536 It was confirmed..that kurchatovium forms a chloride KuCl4, with properties close to those of the chloride HfCl4, and, consequently, is an analog of hafnium and zirconium, i.e., a member of sub-group IVb. 1971Inorg. & Nucl.
