Ijo, n. and a.|ˈiːdʒəʊ|
Also Ejo, Idzo, Ijaw.
A. n. The name of a people inhabiting the Niger delta, on the coast of Nigeria; a member of this people; the language of this people.
B. adj. Of or pertaining to the Ijo people.

Niger iii. 40 The people are of the same tribe as those who inhabit the tract of country up to the Rio Formoso, where however they are called Ejo or Ojo, by which name also they are known at Abó, at Brass, and even at Bonny.
