trimmed, ppl. a.
[f. trim v. + -ed.]
1. That has been trimmed, in various senses of the verb. In sense 8 often as the second element in an instrumental combination, as blue-trimmed, ermine-trimmed, flower-trimmed, gold-trimmed, lace-trimmed, etc.: see also these words.
