A. adj. Designating one of the two divisions of the order Quadrumana, including those apes or monkeys, which have the nostrils close together, oblique, and directed downwards, and opposable thumbs on all the limbs. It includes all the apes of the old world.
B. as n. A catarrhine monkey.
