Also land-form, landform.

1. a. A physical feature of the earth's surface such as a hill, plain, cirque, or alluvial fan.
1893Land form [see geomorphology]. 1910Encycl. Brit. XI. 633/2 Thus new land forms are created—valleys of curious complexity, for example—by the ‘capture’ and diversion of the water of one river by another. 1938L. D.
