1. A town or village in Spain or Spanish America; esp. a communal village or settlement of Indians. Also attrib.
In American Archæology applied to a communal or tribal dwelling of the aborigines of New Mexico, etc. Pueblo Indians, self-governing Indians, dwelling in pueblos, in New Mexico and Arizona.
