A homecoming, applied spec. to the homeward journeys of Odysseus and the other heroes of Troy. Also, the story of such a homecoming or return, esp. as the conclusion of a literary work.
In quots. 1883, 1901, and 19621 Nost(o)i is the title of a lost poem of the Epic Cycle dealing with the return of the Greek heroes from the Trojan War.
