[f. jobe v. + -ation. Dialectally, usually jawbation, as if derived from jaw, jawing.]
The action of the verb jobe; a rebuke, reproof, esp. one of a lengthy and tedious character; a ‘talking to’, a ‘lecture’. Also, a long discussion.
