Of or belonging to horses; equine. caballine aloes (see quot.). caballine fountain = L. fons caballinus, the fountain Hippocrene of Greek poetry, fabled to have been produced by a stroke of the foot of Pegasus the winged horse of the Muses; hence = ‘fountain of inspiration’.
