A. adj. Of or pertaining to the reptilian subclass Anapsida, which comprises turtles, tortoises, and extinct groups all characterized by a skull with no temporal openings; having or being such a skull.
B. n. A reptile of the subclass Anapsida. Cf. diapsid a., synapsid a. and n.
