Of or pertaining to St. Francis of Sales (1567–1622), Roman Catholic mystic, or to communities founded by him or living according to his rule, as the nuns of the order of the Visitation founded in 1610 under his direction, and societies founded by St. John Bosco for the rescue of poor and neglected children.
B. n. A follower of St. Francis of Sales or a member of a Salesian order; a Brother or Sister of one of the orders founded by St. John Bosco.
