Titanate of calcium, occurring in crystals varying in colour from yellow to black, and usu. containing lanthanides or alkali metals in place of much of the calcium and often niobium in place of some of the titanium; also, a particular variety or specimen of this mineral, or (more widely) any mineral having the same crystal structure.
