a. Pertaining to a possessor; relating to possession.
possessory action, an action in which the plaintiff's claim is founded upon his or his predecessor's possession, and not upon his right or title. possessory interdict (Rom. Law), one of a class of interdicts for the acquisition, retention, or recovery of possession. possessory judgement (Sc. Law): see quot. 1838.
