lapidate, v.|ˈlæpɪdeɪt| [f. L. lapidāt-, ppl. stem of lapidāre, in same sense, f. lapid-, lapis a stone. Cf. F. lapider.] trans. To throw stones at, to pelt with stones; also, to stone to death.
