A cultivated variety (Colocasia esculenta) of the taro.
1899West Indian Bull. I. 131 What is known in Trinidad as ‘dasheen’, also a Colocasia, is not, I think, grown in Jamaica at all. 1910U.S. Dept. Agric., Bur. Plant Industry Bull.
